North Carolina authorities have arrested the man accused of kidnapping a pregnant 11-year-old neighbor and taking her to Mexico four years ago.

Hector Frausto was found in Gates County on Friday working at a construction site.

Authorities had been looking for the 22-year-old since last week. That's when Dana Pevia contacted officials in Mexico to report herself missing.

Pevia is now 15. The girl and her two children returned to Hoke County on Wednesday night.

Hoke County Sheriff Hubert Peterkin says Frank Bennett identified Frausto from a newspaper picture. Frausto showed the picture to his stepdaughter, who had dated him for several months.

Frausto is charged with first-degree kidnapping and felony statutory rape.
