Plane Makes Emergency Landing On I-85

Officials say a plane landed on Interstate 85 Thursday near the Mebane Oaks exit.

Officials say the single-engine Cessna had engine trouble, but it was able to land safely and pulled off to the side of the highway at mile marker 153, where the interstate intersects with state route 119.

There were two people on the plane, including the pilot. Neither were injured.
