Severe weather has created hazardous driving conditions across the WRAL viewing area.

Authorities said a tractor-trailer overturned on Royall Avenue in Goldsboro. The driver of the tractor-trailer said he was cut off by another vehicle. He said when he tried to slow down, he lost control of the rig.

The crash seriously damaged the tractor-trailer and left the wreckage blocking one lane.

Wet conditions may have contributed to another accident in Durham. Authorities said a car went off the road and got stuck in a drainage ditch that had nearly 3 feet of water in it.

Crews were able to pull the driver and the car out of the ditch. The driver was taken to the hospital as a precaution.

Crews in Cary are warning drivers of flooding on Walnut Street near the intersection of Ryan Road. Officials said there was standing water on two lanes of Walnut Street. High-water signs will be posted until the storm passes.

There are also reports of high water on Piney Grove Wilbon Road in Holly Springs.
