Senator and former vice-presidential nominee Joe Lieberman talked to Triangle residents Sunday about the deadly anthrax attacks.

Lieberman discussed the anthrax cases with reporters in Raleigh Sunday afternoon. He'll oversee hearings next week about whether the postal service did enough to protect its workers, and look at their future plans for dealing with anthrax. Lieberman says most of us have nothing to worry about.

"I THINK THAT THE AVERAGE PERSON IN THE COUNTRY HAS NOTHING TO FEAR AT THE MAILBOX BUT THEY OUGHT TO BE CAUTIOUS ANYWAY AND I LIKE MILLIONS OF OTHER AMERICAN RECEIVED AT MY HOUSE A POST CARD THAT BASICALLY SAID THAT."

Lieberman also spoke at Duke University's Terry Sanford Institute Sunday night.
