DOT To Temporarily Close Geer Street In Durham Tuesday Night

The state Department of Transportation will temporarily close Geer Street in Durham on Tuesday from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m.

During the closing, motorists should use the following signed detour route: Hardee Street to Cheek Road to Midland Terrace Road.

The closing is necessary to demolish the existing U.S. 70 bridge over Geer Street.

Police officers will be at the Hardee Street, East Club Boulevard and Midland Terrace Road intersections to direct traffic.
