According to a survey by Gov. Mike Easley's office, North Carolina teachers are only modestly satisfied with their working conditions.

Easley was in Raleigh Wednesday talking about the survey's results and how to improve conditions for teachers.

Survey results suggested that teachers would like more time to work on their curriculum and fewer outside duties.

Easley also announced a $1 million grant to study survey results further.
