Wake County Mayors At Odds Over Annexation Proposal

Proposed annexation for southwest Wake County has developed into a war of words between the mayors of Cary and Holly Springs.

Talks about boundary lines between the two towns broke off over the past several weeks.

Now, each accuses the other of using unfair tactics to grab as much land as they can for future development.

Cary came out with its latest plan on Monday.

Cary Mayor Glen Lang saids Wake County gave it jurisdiction over that area.

The County Planning Department tells WRAL that is not true.
