Durham Men Sentenced In Federal Court For Robbery, Firearms Violations

Jerry Kareem Tatum, 34, and Ronnie Lee Jones, 32, both of Durham, received lengthy federal prison terms Thursday for their roles in more than 29 armed robberies of such businesses as restaurants, coffee shops, video stores and liquor stores.

Each got 39 years in prison.

The robberies took place in Wake, Durham, Orange, Chatham and Alamance counties.
