Power outages are increasing as Hurricane Isabel's wind and rain sweep into Virginia.

Dominion Virginia Power reports that as of 9:30 a.m., about 125,000 customers in southeastern Virginia and about 21,000 in North Carolina were without power.

The utility says it has seven thousand workers standing by to restore power.

Governor Mark Warner is telling Virginians to get ready for some problems.

He says the rain and wind will knock out power in many areas, and it may take several days to get the lights back on in some areas.
