Lee County Inmates Foiled In Effort To Escape

Lee County jailers are looking for ways to improve security after two inmates tried to escape.

Samuel Hart and Erik Turner planned to climb through the ceiling and hammer their way through cinder block.

A jailer heard the knocking and eventually figured out what was happening.

Hart and Turner never got out. But they face more jail time for trying to escape and for defacing the building.
