N.C. Health IT Organization Names New Officers

William Mattern of the University of North Carolina Health Care Systems, is the new chair of the

North Carolina Healthcare Information and Communications Alliance

(NCHICA).

Other new officers include:

President: Jon Brown (Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, Winston-Salem, N.C.)

1st Vice President: Tom Earnhardt, (Cabarrus Family Medicine, Concord, N.C.)

2nd Vice President: Samuel Spicer, (N.C. College of Emergency Physicians, Wilmington, N.C.)

Secretary: Jean Foster (Pitt County Memorial Hospital, Greenville, NC)

Treasurer: Gail Hinte, (HIMformatics, Cary, N.C.)

Assistant Treasurer: Richard Low (Topsail Technologies, Durham, NC)

NCHICA is a nonprofit group focused on increasing the adoption of information technology across the state's healthcare sector.
