Two Pennsylvania men were killed early Tuesday in a van accident on Interstate 95 in Nash County, authorities said.
The northbound Chevrolet van drifted off the side of I-95 near the split with U.S. Highway 64 at about 1 a.m., hit a guardrail and flipped over several times, authorities said.
Jack Kazanjian, 75, who was driving, and his 44-year-old son, Elias Kazanjian, both of Philadelphia suburb Broomall, Pa., were pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said. Neither man was wearing a seat belt, authorities said.
Traffic was backed up for several hours while crews worked to clear the wreckage from the highway.
