Lenovo Hires Former Microsoft Executive To Lead Human Resources

The computer manufacturer, which is moving its headquarters to the Triangle, announced DiPietro's hiring on Friday.

DiPietro, 47, was vice president of human resources at Microsoft. Before joining Microsoft, he worked in human resources at Dell.

"Ken has a proven track record in human resources, both internationally and in the IT field," said William Amelio, Lenovo's chief executive officer. "I look forward to working with Ken as he helps Lenovo to further build our worldwide employee community."

Amelio is also a former Dell executive.
