Goodmon Honored For Support Of Public Education

Jim Goodmon, the president and chief executive of Capitol Broadcasting Co., was named the 2006 Friend of Education on Thursday by the Wake Education Partnership.

The group praised Goodmon for challenging the community and its leaders to make school funding a priority and to promise every child a quality education.

Barnhill Contracting Co. and KB Home received Business Partner for Education awards from the organization.

Capitol Broadcasting is the parent company of WRAL.
