Wayne County Man Charged With Killing Volunteer Firefighter

A man is now charged with killing a volunteer firefighter.

Wayne County deputies say Roy Legg shot Ricky Thompson Saturday in Seven Springs.

Legg was reportedly trying to rob Thompson's family store when Thompson confronted him.

Authorities say both men fired their guns and Thompson was killed.

Legg is being held at Central Prison.
