Wake County Woman Reports Terrifying Home Invasion

A Wake County woman got the scare of her life Thursday, when four armed men allegedly barged into her home and demanded money.

Paula Guzman said the men told her they wanted to speak to her husband about a job. Then, she said, they turned the tables on her, forcing her to the basement to open up a safe.

"What's in there is only guns and rifles, because my husband is a hunter," Guzman said. "He hunts, and one of them said, 'You'd better open up the safe, or we're going to kill you.'"

Guzman said the men then tied her and her 5-year-old daughter up with duct tape and ransacked the house. They got away with some cash and jewelry.
