Two Killed In Sampson County Car Accident

A car accident on a Sampson County road killed two people Friday, including a high-school student on her way to a dance.

The tragedy happened late Friday afternoon on Spring Branch Road. The Highway Patrol said 18-year-old Beth Tripp was driving North when she lost control of her vehicle and struck a car in the Southbound lane.

Tripp was thrown from the car and died at the scene.

The driver of the other car, 27-year-old Tracy Holder, also was killed.
