This unincorporated Burke County community is near the community of Worry. It lies north of Morganton.

Heartsease

This EdgecombeCounty is named for homebuilder Richard Hart. It was originally spelled Hartsease. It lies 8 miles northwest of Tarboro.

Harmony

This IredellCounty town is named for political "harmony meetings." It was incorporated in 1874 and has a population of 526.

LoveValley

Population 30, this IredellCounty town is an Old West-style village and throws controversial rock festivals. 

Friendship

This southwestern WakeCounty was settled in 1800 and is named for a church. Towns in Guilford, Duplin and Yadkin counties also have the same name.
