Henderson Police Seek Suspect In Grocery Store Robbery

Henderson police and CrimeStoppers are seeking information about an armed robbery that occurred at a Winn-Dixie last Friday night.

The theft was reported at 8:14 p.m. at the store on 1520-A Dabney Drive. Officers arriving at the scene learned from an employee that a stocky white man had shown an employee a gun concealed by his jacket and demanded cash from a register.

The suspect, who was still at large on Wednesday, left the store and fled toward Beckford Drive. An unspecified amount of cash was taken. There were no injuries.

Detectives continue their investigation into the matter.

The suspect has been described as being a white male between 35 and 50 years old, 5 feet 4 inches tall and 200 pounds, with a stocky build and gray beard.

Crimestoppers will pay a reward up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of the person responsible for the crime.
