Over 6,000 "American Idol" fans registered online at WRAL.com to see Scotty McCreery, Lauren Alaina and nine other "American Idol" finalists when they perform in Raleigh on July 27.

Local favorite Scotty McCreery, a Garner native, won the title of “American Idol” in the show’s 10th season by advancing through just over five months of the singing competition with judges’ support and the consistently high votes cast by show followers.

The lucky winner, Chiqueta M., of Raleigh, was randomly selected to receive two tickets to the upcoming “American Idol Live!” show at Raleigh’s RBC Center.

Tickets for the concert are still available for sale.
