Two Wake County shelters are offering deals on Black Friday.
The SPCA of Wake County has a "Pets are Priceless" campaign underway. Starting Friday, people can name their own adoption fee.
The SPCA traditionally charges a $115 for dogs and $95 for cats. The promotion runs through Dec. 31.
From noon until 6 p.m., any animal with even a hint of black will qualify for a flat $25 adoption fee at the Wake County Animal Shelter, organizers said. Statistically, animals with dark or black fur tend to spend the longest time at the shelter.
The fee includes spay/neuter services and a microchip.
The Wake County Animal Shelter is located at 820 Beacon Lake Drive in Raleigh.
