Nearly 1,000 people participated in a horse farm tour in Southern Pines over the weekend to help raise money for a program that helps people with physical and cognitive disabilities ride horses.

The tour allowed visitors to see six horse farm properties in Moore County and watch demonstrations of driving, dressage and polocrosse, event organizers said.

All proceeds went to the Prancing Horse Therapeutic Riding Center.
