N.C. lists schools with top graduation rates

Dare County schools graduate students on time at the highest rate – 90.5 percent. Chapel Hill-Carrboro schools are a close second at 89 percent graduation rate.

Gov. Bev Perdue and June Atkinson, state superintendent of schools, recognized the districts and high schools with the highest graduation rates in North Carolina Wednesday.

Dare County schools graduate students on time at the highest rate – 90.5 percent. Chapel Hill-Carrboro schools are a close second at 89 percent graduation rate. The statewide average is 74.2 percent.
