North Raleigh student to meet with Congressional delegation

A graduate of the North Carolina School of Science and Math will meet with North Carolina's representatives in Congress as part of his recognition as a Davidson Fellow.

Damien Jiang, 17, will travel to Washington, D.C., Sept. 29 to accept a $25,000 scholarship for his achievement in mathematics. He is one of 20 honorees of the Davidson Institute for Talent Development.

During his visit, Jiang will have the chance to discuss challenges faced by gifted students with members of Congress.

Jiang plans to apply the scholarship towards study at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
