WRAL honored by Triangle Red Cross

A Triangle Chapter of the American Red Cross recognized a number of organizations for their generosity on Friday night.

The awards ceremony was part of the group's annual meeting at the Raleigh Convention Center.

WRAL was honored for helping to raise money and awareness for the organization's Haiti Earthquake Relief.

Overall the American Red Cross raised more than $2 million in the Triangle area for victims of that January earthquake.
