Need help with Medicare Part D? N.C. can help

The state Department of Insurance offered help Friday to Medicare patients who might have problems with their Aetna coverage.

Medicare sanctioned the insurer because the company has not met its obligations under the Part D prescription plan. Aetna may not market Part D or enroll new members until the problems are fixed.

While current subscribers should not experience any problems, Insurance Commissioner Wayne Goodwin said, those who experience delays in getting prescriptions filled can call 1-800-443-9354.
