Affordable real estate and a growing jobs forecast put Raleigh solidly among the metropolitan areas that offer "bang for the buck," Forbes magazine says.

The magazine ranked 100 cities based upon the affordability and availability of real estate, and the percentage of unemployed and new jobs forecast. Raleigh ranked 21st. The Greensboro-High Point area ranked 31st. The only other North Carolina metro on the list, Charlotte, came in 56th.

Omaha, Neb., was the No. 1 city on the list; New York, Miami and Los Angeles made up the bottom of the list.
