Treat yourself to discount spa treatments

Select spas across the Triangle will offer services at discount prices this week as part of Spa Week .

Some services such as massages, facials and wraps will be available for $50. Spa Week also aims to  bring a much needed boost to the industry.

"The industry is in a slump because of the economy. People tend to cut spa services and pampering themselves before anything, which is ironic because it is really the first thing they should be doing to lower their stress level,” said Heather Durham, with the Douglas Carroll Salon.

Spas will also raise money for cancer research during the event, and some will offer pink extensions for a $10 donation.
