Marc Morial, president and CEO of the National Urban League, addressed graduates and guests at North Carolina Central University Saturday. The theme of his speech was “The three B’s—the ballot, the buck, and the book.”

“We must learn to respect money but not worship money,” and encouraged his audience to invest in appreciating, rather than depreciating, assets.

More than 900 students made up the NCCU Class of 2009.
