Nash County sheriff's deputies arrested a New Bern man Friday, after he allegedly attempted to solicit a teen for sex.
Michael Edward Crawford Jr., 26, of 7165 U.S. Highway 70 East, used the Internet to contact an undercover agent posing as a teen. A search of Crawford's home yielded illegal drugs and weapons as well.
Crawford was charged with soliciting a child by computer, disseminating harmful material to minors and indecent liberties with a child. He was held on $100,000 bond.
Additional charged related to the drugs found in his home are pending.
