The North Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles (NCDMV) on Monday announced six new NCDMV self-service kiosks, bringing the state's total to nine.

The self-service kiosks can be found at the following Harris Teeter stores:

                    Customers can complete the following services at the kiosks:

                    • Renew a driver license or ID card (unless they renewed online last time)
                      • Order a duplicate or change the address on their driver license, permit or state ID card (you must know your driver license/ID number to complete this transaction)
                        • Vehicle registration renewals
                          • Pay property tax on a new vehicle

                            According to the NCDMV, there are plans to add a 10th kiosk at Fort Liberty later this year, and more kiosks will be added in the future.

                            “I am excited to announce the expansion of our kiosk pilot to six more locations,” said DMV Commissioner Wayne Goodwin. “This is another example of the work we are doing to shorten lines and wait times by using technology to modernize our customer service and provide more options for customers to get what they need in a timely manner.”
