Providence Day School sophomore Zaid Lott announced that he's received an offer from NC State University.

He shared the news to his X account.

Lott is the presumptive starting quarterback for Providence Day. The Chargers were quarterbacked by 4-star Michigan signee Jadyn Davis for the past three seasons. The team won the N.C. Independent Schools Athletic Association's Division I state title in each of Davis' seasons.

While Lott has yet to officially start a varsity game, he is up to four verbal offers after NC State added itself to the mix. Charlotte, Boston College, and Florida State had already offered him.

Lott is listed at 6-foot-4 and 200 pounds.

In limited action, Lott has completed 29 of his 42 varsity passing attempts for 446 yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions. Lott completed 80.8% of his 26 attempts last fall. He's also rushed for two touchdowns.
