NC State University's football program is the latest to extend a verbal scholarship offer to West Charlotte sophomore Elijah Littlejohn.

Littlejohn reported the verbal offer to his X account on Friday afternoon.

The edge rusher already held offers from Michigan, Tennessee, Texas A&M, South Carolina, Virginia Tech, Indiana, Georgia Tech, Marshall, Troy, Liberty, and Temple.

The Wake Forest Demon Deacons beat NC State to the in-state offer punch with an offer in November. East Carolina made an offer on Jan. 26, followed by Johnson C. Smith on the same day.

In total, Littlejohn has 15 verbal offers, including the one from NC State today.

Littlejohn is a 6-foot-3, 315-pound edge rusher.

His sophomore season was a breakout campaign. Littlejohn finished with 86 total tackles (7.2/game), 33 tackles for a loss, 12 sacks, 18 quarterback hits, one pass breakup, and three forced fumbles. He was named Honorable Mention All-State by HighSchoolOT.

West Charlotte saw a great season in 2023. The Lions finished with a 9-4 overall record after they fell to top-seeded Crest by just one point in overtime in the third round of the N.C. High School Athletic Association's 3A West playoffs.
