Starting Wednesday, anyone who gets a first dose of coronavirus vaccine in North Carolina, can receive a $25 cash card.
People who drive someone to a vaccine site are also eligible for the cash.
Dr. Mandy Cohen, secretary of the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, said the cash would be to "offset the cost" of getting vaccinated.
Through June 8, select locations in these counties will be offering cash:
- Mecklenburg
- Guilford
- Rowan
- Rockingham
Anyone 18 or older is eligible to get the cash card.
In Guilford county, you can receive a cash card at vaccine sites at High Point University and the Greensboro Coliseum.
Mecklenburg county is offering cash at Catawba Brewery.
