A standout offensive lineman at Scotland County High School has received his first offer.

Rising junior Isaiah Locklear announced to his X account on Sunday that he received a verbal offer from North Carolina Central University.

Locklear is listed at 6-foot-3 and 300 pounds. He is a vicious blocker that landed a spot on the 2023 Sandhills Conference all-conference team as well as the 2023 HighSchoolOT All-State Football Team as a third team selection.

Scotland finished last fall's season with a 10-3 overall record and a 4-2 mark in conference play. Scotland made it to the third round of the N.C. High School Athletic Association's 3A East playoffs, where it fell to Northern Nash in a 45-44 shootout.

Locklear, along with the rest of the Scots' offensive line, paved the way for Scotland running back Zay Jones to rush for 2,680 yards and 42 touchdowns. Scotland averaged 418.6 total yards of offense per game in 2023.
