National Beer Day celebrations in North Carolina are happening April 7, and with our range of breweries, brewpubs and tasting rooms, we've got the skinny on where to raise your glass.

When is National Beer Day?

On April 7 of each year, we celebrate National Beer Day while commemorating the end of prohibition in the United States. When Congress passed the Cullen-Harrison Act on March 23, 1933, we were no longer a dry nation.

Thank goodness they did! We have an entire day set aside to enjoy our favorite brew while being a part of a collective celebration in observance of this moment. And, we can take part right here at home with National Beer Day in Raleigh, Durham and Fayetteville.

Where should I drink on this momentous occasion?

We're glad you asked. Whether you want to head out and experience all the festivities in person at a taproom, outdoor beer garden, or prefer to stay home-bound and whip up a party for friends, the decision is yours.

But, we have some great ideas on where to grab a pint out or pick up some cans or bottles to take back home (along with a few recipes to make the party complete).

No matter how you approach the big day, the best beers are the ones you drink most responsibly. Taking that to mind, here are a few hopping places to enjoy your celebrations in the Triangle area.

Check out Barrel Culture Brewing and Blending.

The taproom at Barrel Culture Brewing and Blending uses as many as 18 taps in their selection of diversified beers. Their list features Barrel Culture exclusives, as well as some fantastic guest taps along with a wide range of wines.

You will find plenty of inside space to mingle, and two outdoor seating areas for fresh air. Picnic tables are located in the front, and there's a lighted patio in the back. In addition, the taproom has an event space that may be used for special gatherings.

Stop by the Glass Jug Beer Lab.

The Glass Jug Beer Lab's original facility in South Durham has a bottle shop and 3-bbl brewery. It features one of the Triangle's greatest selections of craft beer, cider, wine and mead.

During the year, the enormous outdoor beer garden includes live music and food trucks, and other activities for your enjoyment. Do you have a small corporate event or personal celebration in the plans? Check out their Atrium which is available to rent for up to 35 people.
