Nash deputies search cornfield for person who stole pickup truck

Deputies on Tuesday were searching a cornfield and wooded area for a person who stole a pickup truck.

Sky 5 flew over a rural area of Nash County near Old Middlesex Road and Boy Scout Road in Bailey before 9 a.m.

Deputies were out of their cars searching for the driver of a pickup truck, which was stolen from Wilson County, driven into a cornfield and abandoned.

Nash County Sheriff Keith Stone at noon said the truck was towed from the cornfield and will be used in the investigation to find the thief.
