Nash County woman killed in drive-by shooting

A 41-year-old Middlesex woman died late Thursday after a drive-by shooting on Old Middlesex Road, the Nash County Sheriff's Office said. 

According to investigators, Portia Hinnant was hit by a bullet inside her home about 10 p.m. She died at the scene. Two other people inside the home at the time of the shooting were not injured.

No arrests have been made.
