Nash County home catches fire

Part of North Carolina Highway 97 in Nash County was shut down Friday night while firefighters battled a house fire.

The fire was reported just before 6:30 p.m. at 9607 E. N.C. Highway 97. Flames spread through the home, several storage sheds and barns on the property, Nash County Fire Department spokesman Chris Bissette said.

There were no injuries.

It is unclear what sparked the fire.
