Nas, Erykah Badu to headline Art of Cool Fest

Art of Cool Festival's initial lineup announcement includes some big names.

Nas and Erykah Badu will headline the festival on Sept. 28-29 in downtown Durham. Iman Omari, Sons of Kemet, Sángo and Damien Escobar are also on the lineup. Badu played Hopscotch Music Fest in downtown Raleigh in 2016.

In its fifth year, the festival is planning to expand its list of venues to include Durham Bulls Athletic Park.

The festival has also changed ownership. Now owned by The DOME Group, the festival's original team will remain on board, according to the event website.

Tickets for the annual festival go on sale to the general public on April 28.
