N.C. Zoo to delay opening Wednesday

According to WRAL Weather, freezing rain is possible overnight and early Wednesday morning.

With freezing rain and other wintry weather in the forecast, the N.C. Zoo will delay its opening to 10 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 16.

According to WRAL Weather, freezing rain is possible overnight and early Wednesday morning.

Alamance, Chatham, Durham, Forsyth, Granville, Guilford, Orange, Person and Randolph counties are under the advisory starting Wednesday from midnight until noon, when freezing rain and ice accumulation on bridges is possible.

The zoo in Asheboro, about 90 minutes from the Triangle, usually opens at 9 a.m.
