Gabriel Eng-Goetz created the Dix Park themed,
downtown mural.

Among the day parties spread across downtown Raleigh on Saturday as a part of the Hopscotch Music Festival is a uniquely local celebration at State of Beer on Hillsborough Street.

The Dix Park Conservancy is hosting the event from noon to 5 p.m. to unveil a mural that highlights the present and past of the Dix Park site and honors the impact of green spaces.

The mural reveal will be accompanied by the release of “Parks for the People” beer, a pilsner collaboration with Trophy Brewing.

Muralist Gabriel Eng-Goetz, creator of the colorful Dix Park themed, downtown mural, will be on hand, as will a DJ spinning tunes and food available for purchase.
