New dinos hit the trail at the Museum of Life and Science

Starting this month, the Museum of Life and Science in Durham is offering a new Parents Morning Out program so moms and dads can have some time to themselves.

The program is offered Tuesday mornings from 9 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. through May 22. It's for kids ages 3.5 to 6. The cost is $30 per class for the general public (or $25 for museum members).

Each month focuses on a theme - such as chemistry this month and art in February - but there are new activities each week. Other topics are animals in March, insects in April and dinosaurs in May.

Museum staff will guide the children in activities inside the museum and outside on its grounds. All children must by fully potty trained to attend and come with a snack, water bottle and change of clothes.

Registration is required as space is limited. For questions and to register, call 919-220-5429, ext. 313.
