Motorcyclist seriously inured in I-440 wreck
Raleigh police are investigating a crash involving a motorcycle on Interstate 440 just after 7 this evening at Capital Boulevard.
A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a single-car wreck on Intestate 440 and Capital Boulevard that occurred around 7 p.m., officials said.
Additional minor wrecks occurred when drivers were swerving to avoid the wreckage.
The motorcyclist is being treated at WakeMed.
Lanes were closed temporarily following the wreck.
Raleigh Police requested the Crime Reconstruction Unit to assist at the scene.
