Motorcyclist killed, pedestrian injured in Fayetteville crash

A 21-year-old motorcyclist died and a pedestrian was in critical condition Monday night following a crash on the All American Freeway in Fayetteville, police said.

Motorcyclist killed in Fayetteville crash

A 21-year-old motorcyclist died and a pedestrian was in critical condition Monday night following a crash on the All American Freeway in Fayetteville, police said.

The female pedestrian walked into the path of the motorcycle, causing the rider, Cody Marcel Soucier, to lose control and crash, police said. Another vehicle then hit Soucier, killing him.

Emergency crews took the pedestrian to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center with critical injuries. Officers are trying to identify her. The driver of the vehicle that hit Soucier was not injured.

The crash happened at about 6:21 p.m. between the Yadkin Road Bridge and Santa Fe Drive. Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call the Fayetteville Police Department’s traffic unit at 910-433-1830.
