Motorcyclist killed in Fayetteville wreck
Fayetteville police were investigating a fatal motorcycle crash at Bragg Boulevard near Stamper Road Thursday night.
One motorcyclist died and a second was injured in a three-vehicle wreck on Bragg Boulevard Thursday night, police said.
The driver of a 2005 Ford was turning right from Bragg Boulevard onto Barrington Cross St. shortly before 10 p.m., police said. The Ford was struck in the rear by an eastbound motorcycle ridden by Robert Nichols, 41.
Ted Sarbaugh, 42, who was accompanying Nichols, also lost control of his bike and was ejected, police said.
Nichols, of Belcamp, Md., was pronounced dead at the scene. Sarbaugh was treated for injuries at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
No charges have been filed, but police continue to investigate the wreck.
