Driver charged in Fayetteville crash that killed Ft. Bragg soldier

A driver has been charged in connection with a crash that killed a Fort Bragg soldier Friday morning.

Fayetteville police said the motorcyclist was killed when his bike crashed into a pick-up truck shortly after 8 a.m. on South Reilly Road near the intersection of Cliffdale Road.

The motorcycle rider, identified as Dustin J. Duncan, 21, of Fort Bragg, was rushed to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, where he died. No other injuries were reported.

Terry R. Sanders, 43, of teh 4600 block of Desert Ridge Road in Parkton, was charged with unsafe movement resulting in a crash causing damage or injury and misdemeanor death by motor vehicle.

Police said South Reilly Road was closed between Cliffdale Road and Bronwyn Street. It was not immediately clear when the road would reopen.
