Motorcyclist injured in accident in Fayetteville Sunday night
Cedar Creek Road from Sapona Road to Neal Street was closed while officers investigated the crash.
A motorcyclist is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries Sunday night after an motor vehicle collision in Fayetteville.
According to police, officers responded to an accident along the 300 block of Cedar Creek Road involving a motorcycle.
Police say a black Kawasaki EX650 motorcycle was traveling inbound on Cedar Creek Road at a high rate of speed. A silver Honda Accord made a left turn from Cedar Creek Road onto Sapona Road when the collision occurred.
The motorcyclist was taken to a local hospital by EMS, where he is in critical condition.
Cedar Creek Road from Sapona Road to Neal Street was closed for just over two hours, but has since reopened.
Police said the investigation into the crash is ongoing.
