Motorcyclist dies after crashing into SUV in Fayetteville

A motorcyclist has died after colliding with an SUV on Raeford Road in Fayetteville on Friday night.

Police say the SUV was turning into a parking lot when the motorcyclist crashed into it.

The driver of the motorcycle, 52-year-old Edgar Thomas, was taken to the hospital, where he later died.

Investigators say speed appears to be a factor in this crash.
