Moore County middle school evacuated following bomb threat

A bomb threat at a Moore County school led to an evacuation of the building on Tuesday.

Moore County Schools said the threat was reported at New Century Middle School in Cameron. All students were evacuated and staff followed procedure.

Authorities were searching the campus.

A message was sent to New Century Middle School parents about the matter. Students will be released on a normal schedule beginning at 3 p.m.

Parents can pick up students at the tennis courts.
